OK, so I guess that this is going to be a "post whenever I want to blog" so there may be times that I don't post for a week or so or maybe more than one a day. So here goes.
"Hero." What is the first thing that you think of when you hear the word hero? Superman, Batman, Captain Underpants??? What is the true meaning of the word hero? The definition of the word hero can vary greatly, with the most accepted being "a man of distinguished courage or ability, admired for his brave deeds and noble qualities." Now read through that definition again. Who can you think of now that fits under that definition? Jesus. Jesus was most definitely and hero, not necessarily unlikely (he doesn't change in a phone booth : ) ), but all in all just think about it. Distinguished Courage.....Ability.....Brave deeds.....Noble Qualities. It would take too long to sit here and name examples, so I will let you go and do that on your own.
The point of this is to make everybody realize that you do not have to have x-ray vision or rock hard abs to be a hero! An unlikely hero can be somebody who just sits down and talks with you, or puts their arm around you to pray, any way that you look at it a hero is a person who making a difference in the lives of others, whether it be through pulling you from a burning building, or just touching your life in an unusual way. Whether or not you have a six pack or a whole keg, a hero is someone we should all look up to.

We all tend to wait for the people we think are "likely heroes"to save the day. Why? We , the unlikely heroes, can act right now!
Thanks for your input Mark!
